The seller selects an opening price for their item at sale or auction, and chooses the start and end dates for the sale. The seller may also choose a reserve price, which may be higher than the start price. If you wish to donate the item, please select a token amount, say 1p or 10p

On the close of a sale or auction, the system emails any winning bidders or buyers, requesting that they contact each other to complete the sale independently. Payment and shipping terms are defined by the vendor at the time of listing, although the junkfox terms and conditions also apply.

If the reserve price has not been met, the vendor is under no obligation to sell. The seller is charged a commission on sales, the rate depending on their status and special offers.

In the event of a sale falling through, this commission is refundable at our discretion. An administration fee may be charged.

Items for auction have a fixed starting price, your bids will raise the total bid price by a fixed increment, or a higher amount that you choose. You can also use our autobid feature, that bids on your behalf up to a fixed amount.

Items are won by the higest bidder at the end of each item auction, so long as any reserve price has been met.

Once you have registered as a seller, you will be able to access the sellers area, where you can list items, and manage your accounts and sales details.The same form is used to list items for auction and for the fixed price bazaar shop.

Items can be auctioned individually or in lots. This basic listing service is free, although services such as featured auctions are charged for. You may also choose a reserve price, which may be higher than the start price. This service cost 50p per item, and this reserve amount is not disclosed to bidders.

If you have never listed items online before, we have an extensive and helpful how to page, which acts as a handy reminder of the sort of details that a good listing includes.

Above all remember that this is your shop window, and the more descriptive and attractive you can make your listing the better. This also makes it easier for buyers to find your item using the search features.

If you have a lot of items to list may we recommend that you download Bulklister. This tool that sits on your PC makes uploading auction and sales data easier.

When this is exhausted, we will deduct another £5. This way of payment reduces our costs, and we pass the benefits to you, with our low rates and free item listing.

At junkfox®, the security of your personal and banking information is paramount.
Your card details are held by Barclays on their transaction server which is protected by the strongest levels of encryption.

Your passwords and usernames are stored on our servers in an encrypted format, please keep them safe, and do not allow others access to your account.

We have taken every precaution to ensure the prevention of fraud and fraudulent use on junkfox®.

Sellers are verified as part of their registration process, and have a user rating system for feedback. junkfox® reserves the right to suspend vendors who have bad feedback or are found to be listing items or content as prohibited above until issues are resolved. junkfox® also reserves the right to bar users where appropriate.

Please note, junkfox® has a privacy policy in place as part of our terms and conditions, and will only disclose your personal details in the following circumstances:

After a transaction is complete, the buyer and seller may leavefeedback about the transaction for other users to see.This forms a permanent record of a user's performance and provides a good incentive for everyone to be honest, careful, and above all friendly.

Users cannot leave feedback for themselves, additionally any users found posting entries that violate the terms and conditions will be deleted. Users who have negative feedback or who have an open dispute with another user will be able to access the system but not to update any information until the issue is resolved.

At present, junkfox does not hold or take responsibility for the transfer of goods or monies; this is the responsibility of the vendor and buyer or third parties.

We recommend that for valuable items you use a registered or insured mailing service such as Parcel Force or DHL. Please also check that your contact and address details are up to date, as this solves many problems.

We will however be more that happy to assist in settlement of disputes, and encourage users to use the feedback system for all transactions.
